Outdoor Learning
We know that learning takes place beyond the classroom and we are excited to offer the children a wide range of outdoor learning opportunities. Some within our school grounds and some across Norfolk and beyond.
We believe outdoor learning boosts confidence, social skills, communication, motivation, physical skills, knowledge and understanding. It has also been found to boost children's self-esteem, self-confidence, ability to work cooperatively and positive attitude to learning.
We have outdoor learning areas across the academy grounds including a Wildlife Area, where our Eco Committee take an active part in its development.
Our Eco-Comittee meet weekly and have written a code of conduct for everyone to follow at the academy.
We have an outdoor learning are for children to use as part of our Elmer's room provision. This area is opened during break and lunch times and during the day as needed. The children play a range of games and activities within this area.
